The first photo of Coral you see is her in June 2016 and the second photo you see is her today in January 2018; it’s safe to say her transformation is outstanding. Coral’s journey started in July 2016, which is when she decided to make a change and join up with us here at Diana’s Health and Fitness; and we are so glad she did.
She started off slow as she knew she had to, she started losing the weight by cutting out snacking and late night feeding and totally cutting out sweet’s for 6 months. Coral did this along with walking on the treadmill slowly building up her time each visit and by December she had managed to lose four stone.
Determined by seeing herself lose weight she carried on but unfortunately suffered an injury so she couldn’t use the treadmill anymore. Not wanting to give up she moved over to the cross trainer where she quickly felt at home; each session she built up her time and quickly found herself being able to go half an hour four times a week. Today she is still going strong, doing 45 minutes every day and you can now see why we call her the cross-training queen.
At the start of Coral’s journey she weighed 18 stone and today she weighs 10 stone. In just a year-and-a-half we have watched this woman lose EIGHT stone and seen her go from a dress size 24 to a dress size 12… It is safe to say the timescale she achieved this within is somewhat astounding.
Her story is all the more incredible because at the start of her journey, Coral was inches away from being diabetic and after seeing family members go through the struggle of living with diabetes and also being told she was at high risk of a heart attack by the time she was 58 she vowed to herself to make a change. She has battled through her training with an underactive thyroid and also with a B12 deficiency but to us, this shows how determined and incredible this woman actually is.
Because of Corals sheer determination, willingness to not give up and power through she has seen her thyroid injections decrease, has come off acid reflux tablets (which she has been on for years) and is also off the steroids for her asthma; she doesn’t even need her inhaler anymore.
It’s stories like this that just confirm the reason why we do what we do and proves to you guys that it CAN be done, no matter what life throws at you, no matter what gets in the way, as long as you have the determination and willpower whatever seems impossible at the start of your journey CAN be possible.
Coral, we are so proud of you and your achievements; every single day you walk into the club so humble and willing to smash it, every time you inspire us and we hope you can do the same for our other members.
