WOW, I’m amazed & overwhelmed to be selected for member of the year – thank you so much.
I don’t really have a fitness journey, I’ve always enjoyed keeping fit & trying to keep in shape which becomes more & more challenging as we get older!!
I first joined what was Club Diana in the 80’s when it was just a squash club so quite a while ago! Whenever l’ve lived locally Diana’s has always been my fitness club of choice. l even worked behind the bar a few nights a week in the 90’s & it’s so nice that some of the staff & members are still around from those days.
6 years ago, I thought l’d invest in a few PT sessions to take me out of my gym ‘comfort zone’ and what a difference that made – so much so, I’ve trained with Miri weekly since then. No pain, no gain I tell myself every week
I try to get to the gym 5-6 times a week where possible. Even when I don’t have much time, it’s still worth it for how exercising makes you feel.
Guess my mantra is that a little bit of something is a whole lot better than a lot of nothing!
Diana’s isn’t just about the fitness for me though, it’s the staff & members that make the club the fantastic friendly & welcoming place it is for everyone who walks through the door. The friendships made & laughs we have are priceless – thank you
