“I’ve always been into sport but I’ve always been the skinny guy. I’ve been able to run & lift moderate weights but I’ve never had a purpose for doing so. I’d do the exercises I was good at & what I felt strong completing & ignore body parts that ‘hurt’.
In the past my weight has fluctuated between 72 – 75kg. I’d skip breakfast feel sluggish & suffer with mood fluctuations until lunchtime where I would eat whatever I could grab off the shelf. My mood & self motivation were generally low.
I spoke to Miri at Diana’s. We sat down & discussed my goals. I wanted to gain weight, feel more energetic & feel like myself again. We began by taking my measurements, weight & discussed a plan of action. I wanted to reach 80kg but I wanted to be lean & strong. Miri created a workout plan for me that has structure & targets my whole body. We now target my weaknesses more than my strengths, the complete opposite of what I had been doing previously.
I have managed to put on 6kg of lean muscle & now weigh 81kg. I train with Miri once a week & complete 4 sessions on my own. Working with Miri has given me accountability for my training & my diet. I’ve found my drive again, not just in the gym but outside as well. I’m more confident, motivated to succeed & in a much better space mentally than I previously had been.
I’ve hit my initial goal, I have shown myself what I am capable of & won’t be stopping here. I can’t thank Miri & Diana’s enough for the support in getting me where I am today. If you want to take your training to the next level then I can’t recommend seeking support enough.”
